The Art Deco style appeared about 1925 through 1939 and was a combination of different favorite styles of the day. It is a very rich style with an emphasis on energy and line. Modern Decorating is sleek that focuses on form and line rather than intricate details and soft shapes. A sense of serenity comes from contemporary spaces because of their limited elements and the muted decorations. Color palettes are calm and soothing, white and black are often seen with splashes of intense colors to direct the eye. There shoudl be a sense of solidity between light and dark which is pleasing. Fabrics without texture like cottons, velvets, leathers are . Very often a lot of hard metals are as they embody the strong structure of modern Design.

Many more interior Decorating trends and variations come into style frequently. Finding out what look suits you, begin by looking in design magazines to find rooms you enjoy, then look for common themes in the spaces you like. Is there a color palette that speak to you, do you prefer metal, wood, or plastic furniture? Do you like fussy details and knickknacks or do you like empty spaces?
